Connect your AI VisionBoard in ChatGPT

Set up and first prompts 4 min read

Ask ChatGPT with your approved Direction.

Add VisionBoard to ChatGPT, sign in once and choose a Vision. ChatGPT then reads what you have approved, can create images from your own logos and pictures, and brings what it saves back as Drafts for you to review.

Try asking

  • Read my approved Vision and identify the next priority.
  • Create an image of a white mug with our logo on it.
  • Continue the next due VisionBoard Goal Run.

In short

  1. Find VisionBoard in the ChatGPT plugin marketplace, connect it and sign in.
  2. ChatGPT reads only what you approved and may share. It never approves anything itself.
  3. Connecting is included in every plan. Your ChatGPT subscription is separate.

Set up

Connect in three steps

  1. Add VisionBoard in ChatGPT

Open VisionBoard in the ChatGPT plugin marketplace and add it to your account. The button at the top of this page takes you there.

  2. Sign in and choose a Vision

Sign in to VisionBoard when asked and choose which Vision ChatGPT may see. No Vision yet? Start a free one and approve your Direction first.

  3. Ask your first question

Try one of the example prompts below and change the wording to fit your work. ChatGPT reads your approved Direction and answers from it.

Try these

Three things to ask first

These are the example prompts in the VisionBoard listing. Change the wording to fit your work.

  • Read my approved Vision and identify the next priority.

ChatGPT reads your approved Direction and tells you what comes next, naming the version it used.

  • Create an image of a white mug with our logo on it.

ChatGPT opens a chooser with your approved logos and pictures. You see the exact price in credits, confirm once, and the image is saved as a Draft.

  • Continue the next due VisionBoard Goal Run.

If you have started a Goal, ChatGPT can pick up its next step and bring back what it found. It never marks a Goal as done; that stays your decision.

Images

Creating images from your own pictures

ChatGPT has its own image maker, and it does not receive the pixels of your logo. VisionBoard creates the image from your original, approved pictures instead.

  • Start with @VisionBoard

Type @VisionBoard in the message box first. Otherwise ChatGPT may answer with its own image maker and skip VisionBoard.

  • You see the price first

The exact price in credits is shown before anything is made. Nothing is charged until you confirm.

  • Saved as a Draft

The image goes to your Library as a Draft. It becomes part of your approved Direction only when you approve it.

  • Pictures of people

Pictures that show people are sent to the service that creates the image. Choose them on purpose.

Control

What ChatGPT can and cannot do

ChatGPT can

  • Read approved material you have allowed it to see
  • Name the exact version it used
  • Save its work as a Draft with its name on it, and see that Draft marked as a Draft
  • Create an image after you have confirmed the price
  • Keep the pictures you attach in the chat as Drafts and put them on a Board for your review

ChatGPT cannot

  • Approve its own work
  • Mark a Goal as done
  • Use Drafts, private or revoked material as approved Direction
  • Spend credits without your confirmation

Help

If something does not work

  • ChatGPT does not mention VisionBoard

Type @VisionBoard in the message box. If it still does not appear, add VisionBoard from the plugin marketplace again.

  • It asks you to sign in again

Sign in with the VisionBoard account that owns the Vision you want to use. If you connected more than one account, say which Vision you mean.

  • It cannot find your Direction

ChatGPT reads approved material only. Check that your Vision has approved Direction and that this Vision is the one you chose.

  • You want to stop

You can take ChatGPT’s access away at any time. Nothing it saved is approved unless you approved it.

Useful questions.

Does it cost extra to use VisionBoard in ChatGPT?

Connecting is included in every plan, including Free. Your own ChatGPT subscription is separate. Creating an image uses credits from your VisionBoard plan, and the price is shown before you confirm.

Do I need a VisionBoard account?

Yes. You sign in to VisionBoard when you connect, and ChatGPT reads from your Vision. A free Vision is enough to start; approve your Direction first, because ChatGPT reads approved material only.

Can ChatGPT change my approved Direction?

No. ChatGPT can save its work as a Draft with its name on it. Only you can approve a Draft, and approving is what makes it current.

Can I use Claude and Codex with the same Vision?

Yes. You connect each tool separately to the same address, and each one reads the same approved Direction. The Connect AI page lists what we have seen working.

Where can I read how my data is handled?

On the data protection page. In short, ChatGPT reads only approved, permitted material from the Vision you choose, and you can take its access away at any time.
