Shared AI context
One approved source for every AI you use.
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Codex and other AI tools each start from their own memory, projects and instructions, and so from their own version of your work. VisionBoard gives every tool you connect one approved Direction to read, and brings what they save back as Drafts for you to review.
TodayThree tools, three versions
- ChatGPTTold: friendly and casual
- ClaudeTold: formal and precise
- CodexTold: nothing yet
Each knows only what you told it. Which one is current? Nobody can say.
With VisionBoardApprove once. Every tool reads it.
You approve
Approved DirectionCurrent- Goal
- Launch the identity starter offer
- Voice
- Calm, clear, considered
Every connected tool reads it
- ChatGPTSame version
- ClaudeSame version
- CodexSame version
Any tool that supports MCP can connect.
You review what comes back
- DraftChatGPT
- DraftClaude
- DraftCodex
Nothing becomes current until you approve it.
In short
- Each AI tool keeps its own picture of your work, so switching means starting again.
- One approved Direction can be read by every tool you connect, and each read cites the version it used.
- You decide what becomes current. Work a tool saves comes back as a Draft with its name on it.
The problem
Every AI keeps its own picture of your work
You probably use more than one AI: one to write, one for code, one to think things through. Each one remembers a little, holds a few files, and has its own idea of your brand, your product and your goals.
That works until you switch. Then you explain the offer again, the tone drifts, and two tools quietly disagree about what is true.
You explain the same things again
Every new chat, tool or project starts without the decisions you have already made.
Each tool remembers something different
Memory is built from what you happened to say in that product. It is not one shared body of knowledge.
Nobody knows which version is current
A note in one project, a file in another, a decision in a chat. Which one counts?
Results arrive without a record
It is hard to say later what an AI was told when it produced something.
The idea
One approved source, read by every tool
Approve your Direction once
Write down your goals, brand voice, product facts and decisions in a Vision, and approve what is current.
Connect each AI to VisionBoard
Add VisionBoard from the ChatGPT plugin marketplace, or one address to Claude, Codex or another tool that supports MCP, and sign in. Choose which Vision each tool may see.
Review what comes back
Each tool works from the approved version. What it saves comes back as a Draft with its name on it, and you decide what becomes current.
Not the same as memory
Memory remembers. A Vision decides.
Memory features are useful for small preferences. They are not a record of what you decided, and each one stays inside its own product.
Memory inside each tool
- Built from what you said in that product
- Stays inside that product
- Records what was said, not what was decided
- Each tool keeps its own copy
One approved Direction
- Written and approved by you
- Read by every connected tool
- Versioned, so each result cites what it used
- Drafts and private notes stay out of reach
Control
What stays in your hands
Approved only
Your AI reads approved, permitted material as Direction. Drafts, private and revoked items are not part of it.
You decide
Work a tool saves is marked with its name and stays a Draft. A tool never approves its own work.
Read-only by default
Connected tools read your approved Direction. Saving a Draft is a separate step, and it is attributed.
Revoke any time
You can take a tool’s access away whenever you like.
Explained
Seven questions people ask about it
ChatGPT and Claude together
Many people use ChatGPT and Claude side by side. Here is why switching costs you context, and a simple way to keep one shared source for both.
Read the explainerAI memory across tools
ChatGPT and Claude each remember you in their own way. Here is why that memory stays inside one product, and what to keep in one place instead.
Read the explainerWhat is MCP?
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, lets AI tools connect to outside information. A plain explanation for non-developers, and what to check before you connect.
Read the explainerProjects and a shared source
Projects keep files and instructions together inside one assistant. See what they do well, where they stop, and how a shared source complements them.
Read the explainerContext engineering
Context engineering is deciding what an AI sees before it answers. A practical introduction, and how to keep that context current across tools.

Why a person should approve what an AI reads, and the controls to look for: approved-only reading, named drafts, and access you can revoke.

Useful questions.
Does this replace the memory in ChatGPT or Claude?
No. Those features stay as they are. VisionBoard gives every connected tool the same approved Direction to read, next to whatever else it remembers.
Does it work with every AI?
Not with every one. It works with tools that support MCP, an open standard that many AI products now support, and that let you add a remote connection and sign in. We list what we have seen working on the Connect AI page. Other tools may work, but we have not checked them: Gemini, for example, supports MCP in some of its products, and we have not tried it with VisionBoard.
Which tools can I connect?
Claude Code and Codex are the ones we use ourselves. VisionBoard is in the ChatGPT plugin marketplace. Claude on the web and Desktop use the same address, but we have not checked every step there. Any other tool that supports MCP can use the same address. The Connect AI page lists what we have seen working, with an honest status for each.
Can I connect more than one tool to the same Vision?
Yes. You connect each tool separately to the same address, and each one reads the same approved Direction. What each tool saves comes back as its own Draft with its name on it, so you can compare before you approve anything.
Does it cost extra to connect my AI?
Connecting is included in every plan, including Free. Your own ChatGPT, Claude or Codex subscription is separate.
