Shared AI context Approve what your AI reads

Human approval for the context your AI reads

An AI is only as reliable as what it is given. If drafts, old versions and private notes reach it, it will use them. A person should decide what counts as current. Here is why, and what to look for.

A person decides what is current

  1. DraftWritten with a tool’s name on itStays a draft
  2. YouReview and approveAn AI never approves its own work
  3. CurrentApproved DirectionWhat connected tools read

In short

  1. Unreviewed context leads to confident answers from the wrong facts.
  2. Look for approved-only reading, named drafts and access you can revoke.
  3. A person decides what becomes current. The AI never approves its own work.

The risk

Why approval matters

  • Old versions

A tool may use a price or a plan you have since changed.

  • Private notes

Something not meant to be shared can end up in a result.

  • Unchecked work

A draft written by an AI can be treated as decided.

The controls

Four controls to look for

  • Approved only

The AI reads material a person has approved as Direction. Drafts and private items are not part of it.

  • Named drafts

Anything an AI writes is saved as a draft that shows which tool wrote it.

  • No self-approval

An AI never approves its own work and never marks a goal as done.

  • Revocable access

You can remove a tool’s access at any time.

VisionBoard

How VisionBoard handles it

In VisionBoard, only approved Direction is shared with connected AI. Drafts, private and revoked material are not part of what it reads as Direction. Work a tool saves comes back as a Draft with the tool’s name, and a person approves what becomes current.

Useful questions.

What does human in the loop mean?

It means a person reviews and decides at the points that matter, instead of letting an AI act on its own. Here that point is what becomes the current, approved context.

Does approval slow the work down?

It adds one short step per change and removes repeated corrections later. Tools can still read and draft freely inside the limits you set.

Can an AI approve its own work in VisionBoard?

No. A person approves. An AI can read approved material and save drafts.
